A mission of the Burton Area Churches
God is doing an amazing thing in Burton. Our church has joined with all of the other 11 churches in the area to form "Burton Bridge Ministry." The Bridge is a collective community outreach of Christ's Church in Burton. We seek to be a "bridge" in our community, bringing together people across all kinds of boundaries to do great things in Christ's name.

This an incredibly exciting time and we are already doing great ministry together in five ways:
1.Our Seniors - We offer a “Seniors Day” each Friday from 10am-1pm at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton. Join us for fellowship, cards, dominoes, etc. in the morning. A hot lunch is served every week for $3 at noon. On occasional weeks we also have a workshop after lunch with educational information for seniors and those who care for them.
2.Our Youth - The past two summers we offered a two-week day camp for elemetary age kids in Burton, serving 50 children/youth each year. We will offer "Camp Hope" again next summer too!
3. Helping Hands - We provide assistance with basic home repairs for people in our area who apply for this help.
4. Our Community - Our motto is “Bringing Unity to the Community!” We hold Good Friday services, a Thanksgiving Meal/Worship, and other events throughout the year that provide times to build relationships and enjoy the great life of living in Burton together.
5. The Corner Shoppe - We have opened a resale store at the four-way stop in Burton called The Corner Shoppe. It is open Thursday-Saturday from 9am-4pm each day. Here we sell new and gently used home furnishings and gifts. All proceeds go to support Bridge and our ministry. Stop on by to shop or to learn more about Burton Bridge Ministry!

We are organizing this ministry as a separate non-profit, applying for grants and funding, seeking a location to base the ministry out of, etc. Please pray for this new thing God is doing.
